Parent and Baby Yoga
4 month-1 year old
Like with any yoga class, baby yoga is all about combining movement with relaxation. We will use our hands and bodies to move our babies in a way that's both strengthening and stretching. The class will take place in our Infant sensory room, so if your child is a mover they will have the ability to explore our sensory experiences set up.
All you need is your yoga mat and water!

The Little Yogis Toddler Program is exactly what these 1-4 year olds need to be active. At this age, children have lots of energy, are exploring their limits and are learning about new ways to move their bodies. Yoga is a fun way to get young children to be active in different ways and explore the range of movement their growing bodies have.
Our program is beneficial for young children because they are encouraged to turn, twist, stretch and strengthen their muscles in new ways. Yoga helps them with proprioceptive awareness, balance, coordination, focus, building mirror neurons and increasing lung capacity.

CLASS STRUCTURE
Each week contains the following:
Welcome Song- Specific and unique to Little Yogis
Introduction outlining the class theme
Breathwork using different hands-on manipulatives to encourage the students to learn how to belly-breathe
A full-body warm-up using hands-on manipulatives, and/or songs, and/or games to engage the students and prepare their bodies for their practice
Yoga postures that relate to the class theme
Games that engage all the students either as a full class, or in partners or small groups
Positive affirmations that teach the students self-love and how to have a positive growth mindset
Good-bye Song- Specific and unique to Little Yogis
